Tracy Brissette’s interest in art started with watching her maternal grandmother create beautiful landscapes and still life paintings. She would sketch trees and flowers and faces anywhere there was a scrap of paper and a pen or pencil lying around. Gram taught Tracy to draw and paint trees. Now Tracy has taught herself how to sculpt them and thinks of her Gram while she does. Tracy’s paternal grandmother wrote poetry, and that talent has come down through the family as well.

Tracy’s vivid imagination brought her into the world of fantasy fiction, and a game of Dungeons and Dragons with friends led to her publishing her novel, Rhiannan’s Quest, in 2014. From there, she has made forays into poetry, painting, and sculpture. At times her artwork is inspired by poetry, and other times a painting or photo will inspire her to write.

Tracy is passionate in the belief that we are caretakers of the earth for future generations. All of her sculptural pieces, miniatures, and Under Glass collection are made using mostly recycled, upcycled, repurposed, and natural materials. Her paintings range from vaguely realistic impression to utterly fantastical. Dragons, Wizards, Unicorns, and Castles find their way into her Fantasies Under Glass Collection, and her miniatures are a study in unexpected details..
